In the industry, success is often measured by hitting deadlines and making profits, but oftentimes, true success is reflected in the people who make it all possible. The women in our group are proof of that – with dozens of women making up about 17% of our workforce, and 40% of management positions held by women, they are part of our success in every way.

In honor of Women’s Day, we’re proud to share the stories of four such remarkable women from MPP, MCP, Benda, and Polyraz, whose dedication and spirit inspire us all.

Ella Zarbaelov – Quality Control Lead at MCP

In her eight-year journey with us, Ella Zarbaelov has demonstrated her expertise, dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to team advancement. Starting as a senior quality inspector, the last year had her leading our quality control efforts: “I have a lot more on my plate”, she says. “The factory runs 24/7, all year round. When something goes wrong, I’m the one who has to show up”.

And show up she does — anytime, on any occasion. “Last week, an inspector couldn’t come to work,” she recalls. “He called me while I was doing final preparations for the weekend. Still, I dropped everything and rushed over”. Part of Ella’s job is taking charge of the workers, managing their work, scheduling, and also taking care of all of their needs.

When it comes to people, Ella puts honesty, trust, and respect first: “It’s a male-dominated workplace, and while some are initially thrown off by a woman, my workers all respect me. They know I’ll step in if they make a mistake”, she explains.

Naama Vana – Production Planner at Benda

Since first joining us six years ago, Naama has been a driving force in our operations. “When I first joined MPP, they’d just acquired Benda,” she says. “So they offered me a role managing production planning there. This past year, I also moved into logistics”. Naama’s role at Benda includes anything from making work plans and scheduling raw material purchases to coordinating with drivers. “It’s not always easy”, she admits.

When remembering her first days at Benda, she shares: “It was a challenge — the production halls had no proper ERP system, it was all Excel sheets. A few months in, I took this on as a project, and later trained the workers on the new system”. Benda’s pace is relentless, with many clients and lots to do: “Work always comes in waves, and every time, something new throws me off”.

What keeps her steady is the tight-knit vibe. “It’s like a real family — everyone’s ready to help, both men and women”, she shares. “As a mom of two, that means a lot”. This atmosphere makes some hardships worthwhile: “I live far away, but I’m happy to put in the travel time because I love this workplace”, she concludes.

Gosoon Zoabi – Production Worker at MPP

Gosoon has been with MPP for three years, and with time, she managed to establish herself in the packaging department. “I started as a packer,” she says, “and little by little, I’ve moved up. Now I’m mostly operating the labeling machine, handling stickers and lids. Sometimes, when others need help, I also step in”.

When asked about her experience of working in a male-dominated environment, she shared: “Sometimes I’m the only woman around, but it does not matter. The work has to be done properly — whether it’s men or women. Even if the men – women ratio was 100:1, it wouldn’t bother me at all”. She feels her contributions are recognized, and likes working in the company: “It’s a good vibe here. Managers, workers — we’re all like family”.

Einat Grossbach – Finance Manager at Polyraz

Einat Grossbach is closing in on four years with us. Starting as Polyraz’s finance manager, she is highly experienced.  “When I got to Polyraz, the big goal was switching its ERP software to what the rest of the group was using”, she recalls. “I had experience with the new program, and I handled the whole transition”. Since then, she’s taken on more responsibility, helping handle the financial reports and treasury for the group as well.

Her day-to-day life is packed, but she thrives on it. “I’m genuinely thrilled to come in every morning for work,” she says. She speaks highly of her coworkers, particularly the women in the company: “We’re not just colleagues, we’re a close-knit group of friends, hanging out together even outside of work”.

Einat’s not just about the numbers—she’s got a heart for people, too.  “I help out with welfare, things like planning events and looking after the team. Not because it’s part of my responsibilities, but because I love it”, she admits. Looking ahead, Einat’s got a wish for the future: “We’ve got many women in core roles in the company, but I’d like to see even more” she says. “We don’t need Women’s Day to prove we’re good — we’re already at every crossroad, making things happen”.
