This year marked a new chapter for MPP Group, as it introduced its sustainable packaging solutions to the European market at Fachpack 2024 in Nuremberg, Germany. The booth attracted a steady flow of visitors, many of whom expressed genuine interest in the solutions on display. MPP Group approached this opportunity not just as an exhibition but as a chance to listen and learn from the industry, paving the way for new collaborations in sustainable packaging.

SustainaPPack: Small Steps Toward a Lighter Footprint

At the forefront of our booth was SustainaPPack, an ultralight polypropylene tray that exemplifies our commitment to practical sustainability. Designed with a 10%-30% reduction in weight, the tray also lowers carbon emissions associated with production and transport. By reducing the usage of fossil-based materials without sacrificing functionality, SustainaPPack aims to support customers in their journey toward more eco-conscious operations.

Practical Solutions for Catering Needs

We also presented our portfolio of CPET trays, tailored for a wide range of meal service needs. From in-flight catering to specialized meals for hospitals and seniors, these trays are versatile and designed with sustainability in mind. They can contain up to 70% recycled PET and reflect MPP Group’s effort to incorporate recycled materials without compromising quality or safety. These trays, with their practicality and environmental benefits, are a step toward offering better options for those looking to reduce their impact while delivering dependable service.

Recognition with the Israel Star 2025 Award

MPP Group was honored with the Israel Star 2025 award for two of its products: the SustainaPPack tray and a new CPET tray featuring a specialized small compartment for sauces or liquids. This particular tray is designed to withstand the demanding retort sterilization process, offering a reliable and sustainable solution for food packaging. The acknowledgment from Israel Star highlights MPP Group’s efforts to innovate responsibly and support practical recycling through mono-material designs.

Following the win in Israel Star 2025, we submitted the CPET tray with a small compartment to the WorldStar contest organized by the World Packaging Organization (WPO).

Moving Forward with Purpose

Our team looks ahead, with a clear focus on learning, collaborating, and finding better ways to meet the industry’s needs in a responsible way. Through these small steps, we hope to contribute to a positive shift in packaging, supporting a future that’s not only functional but more mindful of our shared environment.
